Why use ppcotton filter element

Ppcotton, commonly known as hollow cotton, also known as filled cotton, uses non-toxic and odorless polypropylene particles, which are formed by heating, melting, spinning and stretching of tubular filter element. If the raw material is mainly polypropylene, it can be called polypropylene melt blown filter element.

Ppcotton filter has five main functions:

1. Removal of particulate type impurities in tap water

Tap water and groundwater flow from the outside to the inside. After layer by layer filtration, the closer to the inner layer of the filter element, the smaller the pore diameter, the higher the filtration accuracy. When the particles pass through the PP filter channel, the bridging phenomenon will appear. Even the particles smaller than the channel can also be blocked, so as to effectively remove various particulate impurities in the filter fluid.

2. It has strong ability to absorb pollutants and has many levels of structure

The outer layer fiber is thicker, the inner layer fiber is thinner, the outer layer is loose and the inner layer is tight, forming a gradually tightening multi-layer gradient structure. Each layer of this multilayer structure can intercept and store impurities in water. If you add many layers, the amount of pollutants will be large.

3. During purification, the flow rate is large and the pressure is small

PP fiber is a kind of microporous structure with three-dimensional bending diameter formed by self-adhesive winding with polypropylene fiber as raw material. It is different from the fiber distribution of traditional fabrics and non-woven fabrics, with larger specific surface area and higher porosity.

Large surface area and multiple small holes can make the water pass through the ppcotton filter quickly, and there is no big difference in the water height between the inside and outside. Therefore, not only the filtration flow rate is large, but also the pressure difference is small.

4. Safe, efficient, hygienic, no chemical addition

Polypropylene fibers are entangled with each other through melt blowing, drawing and receiving processes to form ppcotton filter elements of different shapes and sizes. Unlike other filter elements, ppcotton filter elements do not need to be bonded with other materials. Because the chemical composition of polypropylene is clean and meets the food hygiene standard, it will not cause secondary pollution due to raw material treatment of filtered water, so it is safer to use.

5. Good chemical stability, acid, alkali, organic solution, oil resistance

The chemical stability of ppcotton n is closely related to polypropylene. Polypropylene has good chemical stability, but it can be corroded by concentrated sulfuric acid and nitric acid. Because of this characteristic, ppcotton is also used in chemical, electronic and other fields.

In a word, ppcotton has the characteristics of large flow, corrosion resistance and high pressure resistance. Due to the characteristics of high flow rate, high precision, corrosion resistance, high pressure resistance and low cost, ppcotton is widely used in the pre filtration treatment of pure water, food and drinking water, reverse osmosis water purifier, ultrafiltration composite materials and other fields.
